This is a great example of how much I prefer shopping at local stores. The pack is well made but doesn’t suit my needs. I bought this because it was a warranty voucher for an Outdoor Products pack with a failed zipper. They made good on the warranty and replaced the pack with the closest available substitute. It was the most similar current model to the pack I sent in for the warranty claim. I realized when it arrived it was much larger than I expected with several more compartments than I need. It looked like they took the pack I previously owned and then tried to incorporate features to accommodate all suggestions and complaints that came in about the old design. The result is clunky, oversized, and confusing to use with too many zippered compartments to easily keep track of. If I had been able to examine this at a local retail store I wouldn’t have purchased it. Online shopping can be very tough. I wish I had never made it the warranty claim. $10 to ship my old pack to Outdoor Products, $0 for the new pack, $10 to ship the new pack. So I spent $20 for a pack that I used on one trip and probably won’t use again. I am shopping locally for something more practical.

This is a nice bag if you want to use it for school or business. But I don't think it's good for traveling. I like the bags that open up like a suitcase, this one opens up from the top. I was looking for a bag to take to Europe at this wont-work for me. But the quality is good and the warranty isgreat.

My parents bought me this backpack for college nearly 20 years ago. It still worked fine but after the extreme and excessive use my shouoder straps had absorbed decades of sweat as i used it for travel over the years. I loved the backpack so much i wanted to replace it woth the exact same one, i was absolutely ecstatic to find the same one decades later. The storage space and separation by zippers is phenomenal without being too bulky and that quality literally lasted decades through college, moving, international travel, hiking, and everything weather, life, or time threw at it. If you are on the fence i hope i can push you over because i will buy no other backpack for the rest of my life (i probably didnt need to either, i just wanted a fresh new backpack).

Product is right and great. It is what I was looking for. 5 stars all around.

I bought my original OP backpack at Walmart about4-5 yrs ago. Took it through a myriad of travels and weight, lol. i had to get a new one before my next trip in July and tried to find it online but couldn't. Apparently, the style I had was discontinued. I decided to go directly to the sight and purchase. Needless to say, I am more than pleased with the stylish backpack and accompanying fanny pack. The quality is still there and I know I will keep these a long time!
